According to legend, King Arthur was badly injured at the battle of Camlann after fighting Mordred.
He was taken to a mist shrouded Island called Avalon where he was healed and nourished back from his wounds. It is said that the inhabitants enjoyed a very long and healthy lifespan.
Avalon retreat is a Beauty Salon hidden in the magnificent 18th century built Donnington Grove Country Club and Hotel just to the north of the market town of Newbury just 5 mins from the M4 junction 13 and the Donnington exit of A34
